Safety & Welfare Management

Tailored Safety Solutions

Janbury,  in conjunction with the Construction Management, will create an outline summary of site specific Safety protocol. With this outline information in hand, Janbury will then apply proven methods and means to create a menu proposal itemizing cost for each Safety Management requirement. Again, the menu proposal identifying and itemizing line item costs is designed to give Construction Management the opportunity to implement each projects site specific safety needs in a Safety Management Program.

Janbury’s Roll

Janbury recognizes that traditionally, most Construction Management firms employ and/or identify a representative of the company as corporate Safety Officer. His or her duties as Safety Officer may require a full time job effort or in some instances may be a part-time responsibility shared with other job duties. In either situation the corporate Safety Officer is ultimately responsible for formulating a corporate wide Safety Program and assuring that all projects sites are in compliance.

Janbury’s menu of Safety Services are created to assist the Site Construction Management Safety Enforcement Officer in his responsibilities and duties in whatever capapacity is needed to insure total Site Safety.

Safety & Welfare Services Menu

As noted previously, should Construction Management elects to commit to employ other Janbury’s services, there may be the benefit of overlapping scope and/or responsibility, ultimately translating into efficiencies of performance and cost reduction. For example, Safety Services and Waste Management go hand in hand in that a “clean site makes for a safe environment”. Additionally, a single source responsibility for “continuous clean efforts”, will assure that all barricades are replaced after debris is removed from a building assuring Safety Services compliance. A menu of some of Janbury Safety Management Services are as follows:

 OSHA certified personnel

 Safety orientation for all personnel

 Attend compulsory subcontractor safety meetings

 Review all plans for storage of flammable materials

 Photo and written documentation of safety violations

 Manufacturer recommended inspection of hoisting equipment & devices

 Review material & erection hoisting plans and assist in compliance

 Maintain safety signage and warnings

 Installation and maintenance of barricades

 Assist with local medical, fire and police coordination

 Assist in the safety for all non-construction personnel visitors

 Assist in providing/investigating accident reports and follow-ups

 Coordination with “continuous clean” efforts

 Fire protection measures

 Site sanitary facilities, potable water
